"Guru Gobind Dau Khade Ka Ke Lagoo Paay
Balihaari Guru Apne Jin Gobind Diyo Milaay"
This means when Guru (prophet) and Gobind (God) are standing
forth, whose feet should be touched first in reverence. Kabir
das ji says that in such a case he will touch the feet of
his Guru, who has shown him the path leading to God. So, undoubtedly
Guru has an important place in both Sikh and Hindu religion.
In Sanskrit the word Guru means a teacher. In Sikh Culture
the word Guru referred to the ten Enlightened Masters (emissaries
of God). And after the Ten Gurus, It is used with the Holy
Guru Granth Sahib. Here is a list of ten Gurus of Sikhs in

as the Guru. It is believed to possess the spirit of Gurus
and treated as the body of al Gurus. In Ardas it is written:
"Dasan (10) Patshahiyan (Gurus) di jot (soul) Shri Guru
Granth Sahib Da Dhyaan Dhar Ke Bolna Ji Wahe Guru"
